Once your server is deployed, connecting is straightforward. Follow these steps:

1. Log into your Angara Host Game Panel.
2. Copy the Server IP & Port shown on your server details card (e.g., play.angara.host:25565).
3. Open Minecraft and go to Multiplayer > Add Server.
4. Enter the hostname in the Server Address field. Click Done and join!

For Bedrock Users (Pocket Edition, Console, Windows 10): Use the numeric port provided in your panel (default Bedrock port is 19132) instead of the standard Java port.

To customize your server features or play style, you can easily install plugins or mods:

• Plugins (Paper/Purpur/Spigot): Go to the File Manager in your panel, open the plugins folder, and upload the .jar plugin files. Restart the server to load them.
• Mods (Forge/Fabric): Choose the appropriate Modded server type in your setup, upload the mod files to the mods folder, and verify that the version matches your game client.

If you own a custom domain name, you can map it to your Minecraft server so players can connect using a memorable address like mc.yourdomain.com.

Log in to your DNS provider (e.g. Cloudflare) and create a record:

1. For Dedicated Ports (25565): Create an A Record pointing your subdomain (like mc) to your server's numeric IP address.
2. For Custom Ports: Create an SRV Record with the following settings:
   • Service: _minecraft
   • Protocol: _tcp
   • Name: mc (or your chosen subdomain)
   • Port: Enter your server's custom port
   • Target: Points to the A Record you created

We provide automated daily backups, but you can also make manual snapshots before making big changes:

• Go to the Backups tab in your server panel.
• Click Create Backup, name it, and choose whether to lock it to prevent deletion.
• To restore, click the three dots next to any backup and select Restore. The server will automatically stop, extract the files, and resume.

If you or your players are experiencing packet loss or lag spikes, follow these diagnostics:

• Verify server TPS. Type /tps in console to ensure it's at 20.0 (ticks per second).
• Use subdomains mapped directly to server node IPs to bypass extra routing hops.
• Run traceroute diagnostics to check latency spikes between your PC and our network node.

Upgrading your server resources is seamless and takes less than a minute:

1. Log into your Billing Client Area at billing.angarahost.com.
2. Go to Services and select your active server.
3. Click Upgrade/Downgrade on the side menu.
4. Choose your upgraded resources, settle the pro-rated invoice, and restart your server to apply.

To let your friends start, restart, or access server files without sharing your primary credentials, use the sub-user feature:

1. Log into your Angara Host Game Panel.
2. Select your server and navigate to the Users tab in the sidebar menu.
3. Click Create New, enter your friend's email address.
4. Select the specific permissions you want to grant (e.g., restart, access console, modify files, manage backups).
5. Click Save. They will receive an email invite to configure their password and log in.

Switching server software (e.g. Vanilla to Paper) or updating to a newer Minecraft release is fast and automated:

1. Navigate to the Startup or Software Installer tab in the server panel.
2. Select your preferred software (we recommend PaperMC for plugins, or Purpur for maximum performance).
3. Choose the desired game version from the dropdown menu (e.g., 1.20.4, 1.21).
4. Click Install/Update. Ensure to take a backup of your world prior to updating versions.
